Award winning historian- author Dr. Peter Lubrecht was born in New York City; in grade school he was part of a theater program under the direction of Harold Jackson of the Harlem Renaissance. His teaching journey began in secondary schools; after retirement he was an adjunct professor of Writing, Humanities and Theatre. His BA, MA and PhD are all from New York University.
